Danny Gillerman on Israel's attacks on Gaza - 28 Dec 08

Israeli air raids on Gaza have continued for a second day. Women and children are among the dead. The toll rose above 290 on the second day of the barrage.

The UN security council has called for an immediate end to all military activities and for all of Gaza's crossings to be opened by Israel.

Danny Gillerman, a former Israeli ambassador to the UN, talks to Al Jazeera from Tel Aviv.

As a citizin of a western country I dont understand why UN and US keep on supprting Israel. What I also dont understand is why the the Muslimworld doesnt take action to Israel. You are such a large population. And if you can strike US in its heart in 2001, why not hit Israel? Bomb Haifa, fly plaines in Tel Aviv. And I know that many people in the west are behind you, especially after the Gaza War.
