PEARL HARBOR (July 6, 2010) Aerial video showing ship in Pearl Harbor preparing to depart for Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2010 exercises at sea. This video begins with views of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76 and the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202). There is also a starboard side view of The Canadian navy Iroquois-class guided missile destroyer HMCS Algonquin (DDG 283) underway in the harbor closely followed by a tug boat. The video also shows a series of cruisers, destroyers, frigates and other military vessels pierside. RIMPAC is a biennial international military exercise involving naval units from 14 countries and is designed to strengthen regional partnerships and improve multinational interoperability. This is the 22nd occurrence of RIMPAC. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Corey Truax/Released) 100706-N-6274T-001
