I cleaned up the intro of this clip with better lip synch of Boris, and Jim Doval and the Gauchos. Thanks to Lionelatwill's amazing discovery, the missing audio segment from the 1965 Shindig Halloween show, starring Boris singing the Monster Mash, Lurch singing & dancing to his namesake tune, the Lurch, and three other songs by Jim Doval & the Gauchos, & The Wellingtons. With clips from the same show(the classic Lurch video from "Shivaree", & thanks go to Ultracoolsixties and Dave.I was able to tweek, and twist them into a video recreation of how the missing minutes might have looked.
Missing Minutes from 1965 Shindig Halloween:
1.Monster Mash-Boris Karloff, Jim Doval & the Gauchos
2.Bella's Bash-Jim Doval & the Gauchos
3.The Lurch-Lurch from "Shivaree"
4.Scully Gully-The Wellingtons
5.Out of Sight-Jim Doval & the Gauchos

  • WOW what a party. Really wish I could've been there.

It's Christmas Day right now but I'm missing Halloween

  • one word: AWESOME.. thanx so much for this video.

  • Simply Fantastic !!!!!!

  • Okay...who out there knows the trivia about The Wellingtons??? They sang a very famous TV theme song. I'll bet everybody knows the song. It had something to do with a three hour tour, a three hour tour.

  • Great classic footage. I have never seen any of these clips before.

  • What an awesome time it was,

    I really missed out!!!!!

  • With all respects to the great Lon and Bela, both highly underrated and misunderstood artists, I don't believe that Boris became "parody". One of his last efforts was one of his very best..."The Wurdalak" episode from Mario Bava's classic "Black Sabbath" (1963). Boris did not become an addict or an alcholic. I'm sure he was set for life. Remember, he was already well into his 40's when he first portrayed the Frankenstein monster in 1931!!!! Boris should've won 2-3 Oscars for his efforts.

  • Gotta wonder if Karloff was needing cash. When he first started his career, he wanted to use only his last name, like Madonna. None of the guys who played the classic monsters ever got another chance to play it straight. Lugosi, Chaney, Karloff. They all became parodies. A shame, really.

  • fan-tas-tic!!! Keep it available...It's great!!!

  • THIS IS AMAZING!!!
