A couple people left comments and/or sent messages requesting a West Coast type of track. I'm biased to sampling but I didn't think that would be the right way to go. I also didn't want to make anything that sounds dated or cliche. No funky worm. No splashy snares... Just that vibe, captured the best way I can without ever setting foot on soil west of the Mississippi. I could imagine Game on this track (as heard in the background of the intro to this vid). Shout out to my California family.

  • Nice track man. First time I've EVER seen someone still using the VS-880EX. I just got a JV-1080 and still have and use my VS-880EX. I like the way u still get mileage out of hardware...Keep flowin....

  • @7thgroove Thanks. Check out the Vintage Keys expansion for the JV. Good sounds on there.... the main reason I still use it. That and the bass sounds.

  • @Nashid77 I really got it to use the Orchestral I and II cards. I use Logic Pro and definitely have enough vintage keys. Good lookin' out though...

  • @7thgroove How do you like those? The only other card I've used is the Dance card and its garbage. Made me not wanna get more.

  • First beat making video i've seen with out using software in a long time. Great beat.

  • @finesse88 Thank you sir.

  • @Nashid77 I've got the demos. Gonna get the cards off eBay in a few weeks. Though I use Logic, I still like the great patches that Roland makes, still like using hardware.
