  • if youre trying to make it look vintage why did you burn it. who acccidently burns their guitar. vintage guitars have NORMAL wear

  • Ignorance.... 1st, you burned a Fender. On purpose. You don't deserve it. Well, that's harsh but still dumb move. 2nd, its a genuine FENDER. In this case "Squier" is just a series. Its listed in the '92 Fender catalog in the Fender section separate from the Squier by Fender brand.

These are becoming collectible. Check the Strat-Talk and Fender forums. My 92 MIK Strat is a real player. Under appreciated by most until they play it.

    PUT THE LIGHTER DOWN!

  • I have the same guitar, only a 93 model, from what I can find its a true fender, made with the same body and neck as american made. they were assembled in korea with cheaper pu's, electronic, tuners etc. I also have a mim strat squire, 93, thats plays and sounds as good as my 04 deluxe amer strat. these are not even in the same catagory as the squires made today. In my opinion there the best bang for the buck out there, hope this helps

  • the fender strats made in mexico that are squire series have the body and neck of a fender but the hardware, electronics, and pickups are squire

  • @ilikepenguins100 No need in doggin on the cat man. Its just what he likes. Maybe (like most of us) he cant afford a vintage guitar so he wants to make his own whip more like the guitars he dreams of? I preffer to age mine with normal playabillty and letting it hold my cigarette every now and again but I aint gonna bash on this cat for "rellicing" his. It's like religion man.....if I worship a dog and you worship a cat then why cant WE get along. Stop raging man. Chill.

  • one of the first squiers (from 80s) who has an fender decal and is made in korea.this like the first squier JV basses which is made in japan and olso had an fender decal in the beggining.

  • What you have is a made in Korea Fender which are good guitars, but like most made in Korea Fenders the pickups aren't that good. If you want to spend the money on pickups you will have a good guitar. At least it's not a made in China tele that buzzes and makes weird noises.

  • Do you even smoke ?

  • Burning you fucking guitar doesnt fucking make it fucking roadworn fuck face...hope this helps.

  • Squier is now a subsidiary of Fender, like Epiphone is to Gibson, and they are labeled diferently than those early 90's ones like the one you have. Regardless, don't worry about the name. If you like the guitar then that is all that matters. Buying a MIA Fender is a waste of money. Get a Squier body, change out the bridge, the pickups, all the other electronics, and get a Warmoth or other replacement neck and you will have a guitar that will SMOKE any MIA Fender for the same or less money!!!!!!

  • These early 90's, from 91-95 I believe, Fender-Squier series guitars are different than the current Squiers made today and are generally thought to be of higher quality. They are usually close to on par with the older MIM Fenders. I think that the Fender-Squier series that were made in Mexico are usually more highly regarded than the ones made in China, like the one you have. That said, the current Squiers are a lot better than they were even 5 years ago.

  • All you dumb FAGS need to stop with the "he ruined the guitar by putting a burn mark on it." I personally think that relicing guitars is fucking stupid but, it's his guitar and he can do it if he wants. He didn't affect the playability of the guitar in the slightest. Eric Clapton's "Blackie" guitar and and Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Lenny" guitar both had burn marks in that same general area. Were they ruined you dip shits??????
