Beautiful Blade! Really like the carbon fiber on this Griptilian. They put a nice looking pocket clip on this knife. The Axis lock is one of my favorite. That SOG Fat Cat is huge. I was looking at one about a year ago. Nice update on the Arizona knife rights. Thanks for sharing! You are putting out some great videos, my friend.

Best looking BM Griptilian I've ever seen! Really cool knife Kirk...one can only hope that one day Benchmade will release a Sprint Run version of the Mini Grip or Full Size with a G10 handle. I really think that would get all the long time benchmade collectors excited for something like that.

In Europe knife laws are pretty comparable with the States, if you would compare Europe's country's/ with the states of America. In general you can where a pocket folder that is not really really big, just, like in most of the U-states. And just like overseas full auto knifes are allowed in some country's but in most not. And just like over there, here spring-assisted are legal in most, but not all states. So it depends on the state, but in general it's comparable.

The axis lock ROCKS, and the griptilian is so smooth, you can open it 4 different ways : thumb thumb stud, index thumb stud, axis lock wrist flip, and the pocket ghetto :D

good lord, you're breathing like youve just finished a 10k run
Alright, I like your knife. It's pretty. But what I am wondering is how it holds up after use. I don't give a shit about collecting. People collect everything. What I want to know is if it is worth buying a "gold class knife" compared to a cheaper benchmade version. I have a special place in my heart for benchmade for my own reasons, and my everyday carry benchmade looks like it was used hard. Is the price worth it for not collecting but for heavy use?

Can't help you-- but I'll try nonetheless. Benchmade is reported to do an excellent job with their heat-treats in comparison to other big blade companies. This version is made out of a very respected, reportedly tough, tool steel M4. Great heat treating combined with an excellent steel should in theory work for you. I waxed my blade with Flitz to make cleaning the DLC-like coating effortless. These knives are meant to be workhorses-- I'm just not a fan of the other handles at all.
