  • dino had an awesome vioice and wrote some good numbers, like this funky song.....love a alot of the live stuff from the 69-71 period, when they're all playing together, the most.

  • Hey Sammystranny - The drummer is definitely the regular Quicksilver drummer/band member Greg Elmore - NOT Spencer Dryden.

  • They belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

  • qms fuckin great peace...peace brothers and sisters

  • Gave me chills, I can't believe this awesome band isn't more famous.

  • @willruddock Bullshit! Duncan played plenty of lead guitar and guitar solos before Valenti joined. Quicksilver featured TWO excellent lead guitarists, way before Allman Brothers, Wishbone Ash, Thin Lizzy, or even the famous Yardbirds line-up with Beck and Page.

  • Great to watch - the band is really tight and yhe soloes by Ducan, Cippolina and Hopkins are excellent. Dino's vokal is also great.

  • could there have been a better ten years to age from 10 to 20 than 1962 to 1972? man how i miss it...duh... peace everyone lol

  • @Realitytourist It's too bad that things didn't work out w, John and the Dino thing. I like Dino's voice.

John went on to play w, some other good bands. John and Gravenities and Thunder and Lighting ,... w, the Donovans, the Dinosaurs, plus a lot of others.

John was just one of a kind w, a unique sound that will be enjoyed for years and years yet to come.

    RIP John.

  • Yeah, I have to prefer the pre-Dino band. This is a good show here, and pretty much the sound they had before, but after Dino joined full time, their albums became less R&R and psychedelic, and more electric-folk or something, The bursts of rock and roll came mostly from John, and eventually it became obvious to him that the band was heading somewhere he didn't want to be. Which may be why Gary gets lots of camera time here! Thanks for putting this up!

  • Too be fair to Dino he wrote some amazing songs. I absolutely love "What About Me" and "Cowboy on the Run".
