So laws were put on the books, thats how they got their foot in the door to regulate movement. A free man does not have to ask permission to move about freely. We collectively pay for the roads. Logically, I would think it would be a right. And, IT IS! in the legal sense. But, welcome to your police state. If the government listened to the courts, then we wouldn't pay an income tax. Truth is, they have the guns and the power of incarceration. Driving should be a right because that is the way we travel today. If it however remains a privilege, which I suspect, then the state should simply require liability coverage like they do. The bus or something my friend unless it is a right. Enforcement of the law is a hazard of allowing them to be passed.

nem1901 you are the uneducated one. You may be right... driving is a priviledge but TRAVELING is a right. See the 50 cases in the federal and supreme court. You can't turn a right into a crime see Miranda vs. Arizona. The problem is asking for permission...I.E. (license)
