Ben's first at bat

May 6, 2008. This is Benjamin's first time at bat for T-Ball practice. Ben's coach said he did an excellent job fielding ground balls and was a natural at throwing. That's because he practices every day with Uncle Shawn. Ben had three pitches and one hit off the tee and his batting average after his first practice was .750. He clearly was the best hitter and most consistent at catching and throwing the ball but that comes from all the extra practice he's gotten for the last 4 years when he started practicing seriously the summer of 2004, the year of Shilling, Pedro, Manny, Big Papi, Damon, Mirabelli, Varitek and Youkilis among others.
