  • I hope you plan on upgrading your tank soon. One common goldfish alone needs a 75 gallon tank. You need at least 100 gallon tank for these fish and double filtration. No joke. Common goldfish grow over 12" and fancies over 9". They are best kept in ponds

  • @Pantygirl082 thanks for the info but once they get bigger ill convince my parents to get me a 20 or 30 gallon tank

  • Try not tap their tank, it stresses them which can lead them to become susceptible to illness as it can stop them from producing their protective slime coat. :)

  • @scholesyandsidwell yeah but i put ick guard water cleaner and biological tetra easywater so that doesnt happen and i also have an expensive filter to top it off

  • My advice to give your goldfish a chance to thrive would be to Google "GAB Goldfish Care Sheet"

It will give you all the info you need about looking after your fish. I understand a lot of retailers don't give you the info you need to help you look after your pet but there are experienced people online who can advise you about things like tank size, water quality & general care.

If you have any questions feel free to Inbox me and Id be happy to help and have a look at the videos of my fish. :)

  • -Common Goldfish = 20 Gal per fish.

-Fancy Goldfish = 20Gal pf & 10 Gal per extra fish.

-Each tank should have a filter system to cope with high Goldfish waste.

-Fancys and Commons (Single tails) CANNOT be kept together.

-Tank water should be conditioned with a De-chlorinator product.

-New tank can take weeks to set up before fish can be added due to “The Nitrogen Cycle” look it up.

-Weekly water test with a liquid test kit will show toxins in your water and alert you if a water change needed.

  • It can still be stressful for them though. :)

  • awsome video very informative nice name for your black fish
