An insider's view of a real pedal steel guitar studio session from 6-20-2011, Craig Corona's studio, Sawmill Sound, Longmont, CO, part 1 of 5. The control room is at capacity with three Chris's (two too many). Discussion of some of my prior videos. Set up and tune up the steel, lather, rinse, repeat. "He's no Daryl Hall." Getting levels for the headphone mix. Hit-or-miss knuckle harmonics on the intro, piecing together a melody line. "You wanna punch me?" Working on one of Craig's originals, "St. Helena," for an upcoming release. Adjusting the steel in the headphones again. Sweating like a gringo eating green chile in the A/C-less studio. Pizza break.
