I loved Twilight and although I appreciate other films of the vampire genre I thought it was a refreshing look at this type of character, personally I also view it as an insight into the dichotomy of human nature within each one of us.

Decency always wins just as truth is always truth.

I like that Twilight promotes abstinence. However, I don't think the acting was good, and the character of Edward is more or less a stalker/overbearing boyfriend. He watches her sleep, he won't let her go anywhere, and he's always around the corner following her. Nonetheless, the abstinence part of the whole thing is a good lesson for teenagers like myself.
