  • I use olive oil on my hair to moisturize before I wash my hair. Because my tends to be dry.

  • @Blackbarbietea Oh yeah, it's a great moisturizer.

  • olive oil works great as a facial moisturizer and shaving!

  • @1965blaze oh I know! It's the only moisturizer I use on my face. :)

  • How long have you been using extra virgin olive oil for your nails?

I ask because I would love to get my nails to grow healthier my nails are very thin, weak, they peel and break very easily I was getting acrylics done regularly for years now I'm paying the price : (

  • @Wela143 Normally, I do it whenever I paint my nails and whenever I feel like my nails need a little pick me up. It's like body butter for your nails. If your nails are weak and thin, then I recommend you do this as often as you can!

  • I love olive oil. One product, many uses!

  • Its a wondeful idea! But just make sure you clean any oil off of your nail before you paint it or else the paint wont stick, but I like to go for a few days without polish on just to give them a break, and give me a chance to soak them in oil! :) Thnx!

  • I heard garlic was good so I used garlic and olive oil :)

  • Should this be used on non-colored nails?

  • @Wela143 same i've recentley had acrylic nails on for the past five weaks and now my nails are just so weak and thin, that they bend and break!:(

  • you look so much like Michelle Williams! :)

  • Ladies, In my line of work, Diesel Mechanics “cleanliness is next to Godliness” My hands run through a gantlet of industrial solvents and other Chemicals all day, every day. Because I’m a bit of a perfectionist, at home, I must clean with heavy bleach and other chemicals.

Don’t bother preaching to me how bad the chemical absorption's are for me, because, I'm doing what I love.

I’d like to add to Caty135’s great advice on how to harden your nails.

    "Diatomaceous Earth". Read further below.

  • To harden your nails try Diatomaceous earth (food grade) this is safe silica. It'll lubricates your joints, strengthen your hair and nails plus when calcium deficient, it turns to calcium in the body for your bone. It also rids your body of any intestinal parasites. A table spoon full with yogurt and your favorite juice (Mmm-grape juice) mixed will show results in just a week. You'll literally feel it in your nails, a toughness like you can carve wood with them. Do drink twice a day.

  • I put some petroleum jelly natural lemon juice vinegar cider then file em evri week n u will havve some greattt nails
