Bruant lost because his dishes were too simple, 1st dish: Grilled skin (whoopdee doo), Last dish: salmon+sauce(whoopdee doo). This is battle salmon not battle heavy sauces...

Sakai has more creative dishes, he makes innards taste good, and salmon in a crepe!

Replay the video at 20 secs . every dish the challenger serverd had more positive remarks one negetive remark Ya Boy saki round one positive round two good remarks turn negative by dude in the end. next dish negative next his soup [iron chef ] is banging .they loved it .they gave it to saki with 3 dishes with negative remarks GO FIGURE........TONEZ...

i usually go for the challenger but this time i went for the iron chef. i didn't want sakai to lose his job as iron chef.

Ironchef won because his dishes were better presented... seriously man, Omellete? Grilled Skin?? Sure they taste great but come on....its just plain!! I Remember once during a Corn Battle.. One of the Iron chefs dishes had just Grilled Corn..He got scolded for that!!

seriously i dun believe he doing scamble egg,roast salmon for a competition...do he know wat is a cooking competition about?that is too much of a home cooking food.they dun wanna show the score to save some face for the challenger i guess,

I'm not sure, but I think after this battle, they curtailed the frequency of non-Japanese chefs competing against Iron Chefs (not sure if it's to save face, or it's just hard to book foreign chefs).

It would've made for an even greater show (I know, the show is great already) if it became more international, as far as guest chefs. Then mix it up with the craziness of the Ohta faction (and other factions who keep challenging the ICs for revenge)...

Well, that's my 2c.
