Jamaican sprint champion Usain Bolt who is currently visiting Kenya was set to officially launch the construction of an eco-friendly retreat centre in Laikipia on Saturday. Bolt flew to Segera from Nairobi on Staruday morning in the company of his Sponsor, Jochen Zeitz of the Zeitz Foundation, which is behind the project, and Former Hurdles record holder Colin Jackson. On Friday night Bolt was hosted to a cards-only cocktail party at the National Museum. The guest of honour was Foreign Affairs Minister Moses Wetangula. While addressing the guests, Wetangula, said that the government is considering issuing diplomatic passports to athletes who excel consistently in world competitions. Usain Bolt expressed his excitement at the opportunity to visit Kenya and underscored the need to conserve nature. Present at the cocktail were senior government officials, civil servants, the private sector and Nation Media Group representatives.

  • good to see you having a good time in kenya superman. enjoy the wildlife and watch out for those buffalos. they hate humas. i am not sure if you are going to outrun time.
