Russell Brand is in America on an epic road trip paying his respects to his favourite book, Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road'. The book, written in a 3 week long coffee fuelled literary binge is celebrated all across America by travellers, lost souls and misfits. I was also in a theater arts projects class at college and I kept pushing to do a stage interpretation of Michael Ondatje's In the Skin of a Lion.

I couldn't see why this was an insane thing to push for, past all of the nervous grins and shrugs and comments my colleagues would try to offer me to shut me the fuck up about it. lol

I still have all of my notes and some blocking I wrote down. It's epic stuff really, but totally unstageable. hehehe

Unfortunately I've done long stretches on amphetamine when I was younger, and no...the shit that happens in your brain at the time seems clear and makes sense, but the reality is that you are temporarily out of touch with reality. In journals at the time I was fucked up back then it seemed to me to be normal, I read it now and it's just nonsense mostly. This was just me keeping track of my day: "The doctors here to pay me a price, twice twice, a comb for lice." July 2 2002. Shit, a journal?

You don't "trip balls" on benzedrine. The affect is a glorified Ritalin effect, I believe you COULD write a book in three weeks on a Benzedrine binge. It's a very productive substance.
