I would love to do this, I am 46 and I SO GET IT NOW but the problem being my husband does not GET it, far from,, its an issue in our home.. so I dont know what to do but to worship and love and give to charities of my own money not his, but as far as being radical,, he would not allow that... I say bless to all who have done what Francis is stating here. But I will continue to pray for my husband and daughter that some day they will see I AM NOT NUTS lol

ah! this is spot on!

@underworld999 I think you misunderstood. God will ask you about every dollar you spend, Chan is trying to make that day go well for you by encouraging you top spend them on eternal things.
I do stay concerned about being a good steward of my money, but giving it away isn't an issue to me.
-
Asked by who? Francis Chan doesn't want your money! He'd rather give you all of his before taking any from you. He'd rather give it all away to see that 1 person comes to Christ!
If you are concerned about pastors and people taking your money, you're in the wrong place! Physically and Spiritually!

@JPreachHTK But it isn't the norm. Should be. But isnt

A Christian = someone that lives a radical life for Christ. if you do that, you are a normal Christian, there are no other kinds of Christians. if you don't live a radical life for Christ than you are not a Christian. this debate is silly. Everything about a Christian is radical, but that is normal for Christians, because all true Christians are radical, neither of you are wrong. We live radical lives, and so does every other Christian, which makes it normal to be radical, but its still radical.
-
The whole point of Chan's message is if you are watching this (a computer, internet, access to youtube) then you do "have money". You will be asked about every dollar you spend.

@apachejonathan James 5:17, "Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years." if anyone has earned the title radical (besides Jesus) it was Elijah but James tells us that he wasn't radical, he was just like us except he had a fervent prayer life.
-
@apachejonathan man you totally missed my point. You jumped the gun and insulted me without even understanding my point. Those people are not radical, they are normal. there is no such thing as radical christians because every christian should be radical. Radical should be the norm in our church.
-
@JPreachHTK Wrong. I hope they ARE radical. As Christians, we should rebel against the culture! That is radical. We should hate the sin, but still love the sinner! That is radical. We should not condone sin: homosexuality, promiscuity, abortion, etc. That is radical. And the problem today may be that we Christians AREN'T radical. Rebel- to resist or rise against some authority, control, or tradition; to show or feel utter repugnance. We should feel that utter repugnance toward since. Be radical.
These people aren't radical, they're Christian.
