Pablo Galdo( Ferrol 1978) , is one of the most international and outstanding spanish pianists of his generation, and one of the rising pianists performing at the moment on the international stage. Many prominent pianists and masters have mentioned him as a very talented and gifted pianist able to capture audiences immediately under his spell.
He studied at some of the most prestigious musical institutions of Europe. His early training was at the "Superior Conservatoire of Vigo" and the University de Alcalá de Henares (Spain) ,at the "Zoltán Kodály Institute" and at the "Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest"(Hungary) at the "Mozarteum University in Salzburg" (Austria), and finally finishing his studies at the "Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Moscow" (Russia). His professors have included Nicasio Gradaille, Ferenc Rados, Rita Wagner, András Kemenes, Orsolya Szabó, Imre Rohmann, and Elisso Wirssaladze.
He has been the recipient of many awards both from his native country Spain, including scholarships from the "CaixaGalicia Foundation" the "Hungarian Ministry of Education", the "Spanish ministry of education", the "Spanish agency of international cooperation", the "CaixaGalicia foundation" and "AIE association".
He has received master classes from many renowned world teachers, including Alicia de Larrocha, Zoltán Kocsis, Tamás Vásáry, Dimitri Bashkirov, Heinz Kammerling, Mitsuko Uchida, Denes Varjon, Alexei Volodin, Jascha Katsnelson, Marta Gulyás and Almudena Cano. Most recently through an exchange programme, with Haewon Song at the Oberlin Conservatory (USA)
He has performed widely and in many European capitals and further a field, France, Portugal, Spain, UK, Iceland, China, South Korea, Russia, Slovenia, Croatia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Oman, Kuwait, Italy, Lithuania, Bulgaria and the USA. A highlighting was at the "Carnegie Hall" in New York, the "National auditorium" in Zagreb, the " Palace of the Danube" and "F. Liszt Academy in Budapest" the "Hong Kong arts center", " Mirabell Palace Salzburg", "Lithuanian's National Academy", " Frederick Chopin academy" and the "Pushkin Museum" in Moscow.
He has currently recorded a DVD of works by Albeniz, Liszt and Rachmaninoff, produced by IRIS. He has also made appearances on Spanish television and Galicia TV.
. He has also been invited to give master classes at the "Frederick Chopin Academy", the "National Academy of Iceland", in the Sultanate of Oman, at the "Academy of Vilnius" (Lithuania), at the "National Music Academy of Estonia' and in different Music Institutions across Spain. He is currently a piano professor at the "Superior's music Conservatory of Vigo " (Spain).
His upcoming engagements include a tour of South Africa as a solo pianist and a series of concerto performances with the Budapest chamber Symphony Orchestra (The Weiner-Szász Orchestra)
