What is similar? What is different? Marketing says: Look, this is new! It can help you. Quality Assurance says: Look, this is old. It can help us! That's all. Got the point?
To the point, indeed. Marketing is about creating the illusion of some "new cause" for whatever unwanted condition we may experience over and over, and proposing (then selling) an illusiory way to get rid of that "new cause". Quality Assurance is about realising that same old ME is the only cause, thus the same old solution can be applied--choosing right now to be free from the unwanted condition (it can even be gone forever).
