The Hajj is the annual pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca).It is he fifth pillar of Islam.The Sacred Sanctuary was constructed by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Ismail (Ishmael) so that people would gather from distances simply to worship the One True God,without associating any partners with Him.
Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah was a very famous Muslim scholar and teacher.He was one of the most illustrious students of Sheikh ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah.But he was also a skillful poet.
This video contains translations of excerpts from his poem about travelling to Makkah for Hajj.This is not the complete poem but selected passages.
