On Australia Day we come together as a nation to celebrate what's great about Australia and being Australian. It's the day to reflect on what we have achieved and what we can be proud of in our great nation. It's the day for us to re-commit to making Australia an even better place for the future. To understand more about what is Australia Day and how does Australia Day come about, I have the privilege to interview Mr. John Vaughan of Australianaflags. John is a vexillographer and is considered to be Australia's leading authority on the design, etiquette, protocol and history of flags. He has been chief executive of the Royal Australian Historical Society and was appointed by Sir Colin Hines to help launch the Australian National Flag Association (ANFA) in 1983.
