The images of the lethal accident of Ayrton Senna (Imola, 1994) have been processed in 1997 by Cineca's computers. Cineca's technicians were nominated technical assistants of the State Prosecutor attorney during the court case foreseen on February, 20th at Imola. Therefore, Cineca developed a multi-media software (Enhanced Multi Sequence Viewer) to syncronize the large amount of images and data, related to the dynamics of the car accident of the brazilian F1 pilot. http://www.cineca.it/en/page/senna-car-accident

  • Williams knew bennetton were illegally running a type of active suspension, then launched their's on Senna's car. Watch from all angles how smooth the ride is into Tamburello then all of a sudden very bumpy. That's when the suspension's electrics malfunctioned, maybe reset (up/down flexing), causing plank to scrape = a canoe. Senna only brakes when he's almost in the grass. If it was steering rack, Senna would've hit the brakes right away.

  • steering bar is broken on tamburello corner and senna try very fast move the wheel on the left. you can see in the middle of the video Senna reaction! is clear! Steering crack..and Senna try to move..but Senna had the steering wheel literally on his hands! he could only slow down and brake very hard and reduce gear..everything happens very fast .. just 1.5 seconds
