You can say/write what you like, but Ms. Kern captures everything about this work including the appropriate expression called for by the heroic style. I don't believe her forthright manner of addressing the keyboard should be confused with detachment or ennui.

monotone there is not enough emotion, color....This piece has much more to offer than what she delivered
