Connect an AT PS/2 keyboard (101/102 Keys) to a microcontroller which will be connected to the computer's serial port. The program detects the combination of keys ALT + CTRL + DEL and activates a port of the microcontroller. You can use that port as a reset signal for other microcontrollers connected on this specific circuit.

This video demonstrates how you can write with the keyboard through the serial port. The program detects if shift key is pressed. When this is the case, we are able to write with capital letters (the same thing happens when you press the caps Lock key)

The program is not sending commands to the keyboard (only reads). So when you press Caps Lock, the LED is not turning on. However you are still able to write with capital letters.
