  • I agree whole-heartedly with your assertion that live performance needs movement. Do you agree that this need is met by the Thummer's use of internal motion sensors, of which prototypes are shown in YouTube videos lWK1d9fzlVQ and 8xIlJWzAFds?

    The prototypes only sense movement along two axes, but we expect to sense translation & rotation around all three spatial axes -- that's SIX independent continuous variables controlled through motion. Is that enough of a "dynamic look"?

  • I think the instrument player doesnt look "sexy" as a live performer. The static hands confine the players movement. What you want is a version that the player can get some of the dynamic look of a virtuoso pianist, violinist, guitarist etc, throwing hands around, expressing with the whole body. Otherwise it is a studio instrument only.
