asians do have the size to play football. great running backs , wr and dbs are from the 5'9'' to 6'1'' range. Linemen arent even that tall. You dont have to be tall to play football. But the one thing that is not popular in Asian culture is Steroids. A young Asian American taking steroids just to compete at a highschool level is extremely rare. Its just not in the culture and its not a priority. But most definitely the athleticism is there. Anyone can look to the olympics for proof.

hey mate.

Asians may not have the size, but they have the speed and agility + explosiveness.

Japan won the bronze medal for the 4X100M relay in Beijing, cooincidence? No, Japanes sprinters have some of the best 100m times for non west-african sprinters and regularly do well in relays.

explosiveness? - look at the weightlifting in bejiing, asians cleaned up over 70% of the gold medals.

Yes alot of us need size, but we do have some decent genetics to work with.

Like I said - they are few and far in between. I do see lots more Asian kids playing HS football these days than in the past, which is encouraging. I think that in the next 20 or so years, there will be a smattering of Asian NFL players, but due to our small numbers in the USA in general, will never be that numerous. Besides, size does matter. If you're a 5'6" running back, very explosive and fast and all that, but there's a 6'1" guy who runs just as well, who do you think gets on the field?

I agree to an extent. But we'll see how asians are in world sports in like 15 years. With most asians nations having decent diets, they'll natrually grow a bit taller and bigger. Will be interetsing to see...

Yeah - he did start for University of Cincinnati. He'll have to wait his turn to start in the NFL, since he's behind Ed Reed, one of the best safeties in the league.

he doesnt start BUT he does get some playing time. especially if they go into a nickel set or when they start putting the secondary guys in. ive only seen him in nickel coverage or when they need an extra safety but thats about it. great special teams guys though
