When the PDF file given from WhiteHouse.gov is opened in Adobe Illustrator it shows up in different layers.

---

OP here, This video was not faked, I did not pre-edit in Photoshop. I originally sought out to create this video to disprove that there were layers in the file, as I started hearing a rumor of it on Twitter. When I opened up the file I downloaded directly from WhiteHouse.gov and saw the layers that others were reporting.

That being said I fully 100% believe Obama to be a US citizen.

People, please read this document, There's a lot more errors than layer, and typefaces irregularities. For one, in 1964, (with all due respect) Black people were not classified as African, but were called Negro (no Offense) This document also debunked scanning into OCR issues. Excellent piece of graphical forensic work. If you are on the fence about this issue, Please read it.

At 3:14, see how things like the signatures and that oddly written "K" in "Kansas" are on separate layers? That's because the optimizer didn't recognize them as letters.

What forger would just scribble down fragments of the text on the paper and then electronically forge the rest of the text? Why even bother forging it electronically when you can just write on the paper copy without scanning?

"Logic" is a foreign word in the Birther lexicon.

"Shape on fonts are not altered by scanning an image no matter how old it can be."

But optimization which separates characters and modifies them to make them more readable does change fonts. Certain characters not recognized as alphabets, due to odd writing or intersections, would not be optimized.

On the other hand, plain forgeries that don't aim to make the document look optimized would not consist of erratically varying fonts unless the forger had Down's Syndrome.

Whatever optimization software you used didn't try to separate and enhance the characters from the rest of the document.

If you look carefully at the characters on this document, any which happen to intersect some border of the certificate have a different hue than the others and are less clear. Why? Because the optimization software didn't recognize it as an alphabet and didn't separate it.

It. If any real case existed, it would have been taken to court and verified by numerous professionals.

My mother is 82 years old and I can show you her digitalized B.C. and neither one of the characters has been altered after it was scanned and digitalized. Needless to say it is a flat image with no suspicious text layers floating on top. It is an identical copy of the original. My mother is much older than Obama and if I, just an average Photoshop user, never found problems getting a digitalized copy of her birth certificate just by scanning it with an average scanner why would they?

People who have found Obama's "birth certificate" ARE Adobe experts and even though I don't consider myself an Adobe geek , I have been working with Adobe products for many years, and know as a fact digitizing old documents DO NO create layers or change fonts. Shape on fonts are not altered by scanning an image no matter how old it can be.

The law is the law, unfortunately. Even good citizens must be excluded from the position if they are not eligible constitutionally.

This obviously doesn't pertain to Obama since he was born in Hawaii. Nothing beyond that matters.

"Those of us who have used Adobe products for 20+ years immediately recognize this 'layer' feature, and it does not mean that a document is forged. All of the anomalies that are mentioned, such as different scanned ink tones, are an inherent part of digitizing old documents. Any idiot who has worked in publishing knows this, although the 'experts' used by Arpaio (to distract people from the investigation of his corruption) apparently are ignorant on this."

    From a very concise comment.

Look up and read "The Obama Birth Certificate and the Layers Conspiracy" on the Chicago Mag's website. I'm done wasting my time with your type.

Optimizing a photo in Photoshop does not separate a flat image into different layers or remove objects from the background. This birth certificate has multiple layers and different fonts and that has nothing to do with optimization. You can enhance an image by increasing the contrast or color saturation, things like that, but removing objects from the background and placing new text layers on top is called image manipulation, and when it comes to identification documents, is called forgery.
