So... we're starting barrels this month. We traveled to nearby arenas to put Harley on the pattern. Of course, I know that the best way to start barrels is to pattern him but, I didn't have the place to do that at home. Second best way? Just go for it! ha ha ha

@princesslove920 I just got a new horse and I'm starting him a little differently than I did Harley. I'm working on RATE a lot!  That is what I "forgot" with this guy.

@undetectable2009 Thank you! I think that I got lucky with Harley, because he really NEEDED me. He finally found someone he could trust and I was able to spend A LOT of time with him. From the day I brought him home til his first APRA rodeo this season it's been one and a half years. Check out his RODEO... video

I'm starting my boy in May! I hope I can prgress this fast! I have a rodeo on June 11/12. (Only for expirience, but still)

Awww Thanks! Harley is coming along nicely. Be on the look out for an "at liberty" video coming this week. Bridle-less riding. The rider is NOT a professional trainer, but has trained a horse or two, and can take in horses... but is very expensive.
