  • sorry, perhaps my question is stupid: if you cannot open your eyes, how to go out of that trance state and open them again? This experiment scares me a little for this reason...

    thanks!

  • If you use your imagination properly you will be unable to open your eyes, and then you simply use your imagination in the same way to open them when you are ready.

If you imagine your eyelids sealed in the first place, then imagine them unsealed; if you imagine them zipped, then imagine them unzipped; if you imagine them glued, then imagine them unglued. You can have any experience you desire in your body through the use of your imagination.

  • no need to imagine your eyes unglued or unzipped or anything b/c once you cease thinking about your eyes they will open... this is a modified version of the elman induction.

all you are doing is engaging in monoideism-which is prolonged absorption in a single idea or idea.

For a better technique dealing with your dreams in which you can control them do lucid dreaming.
