Samsung 42" Plasma TV Model HPT4254. This is a new problem for this 2 year old TV just out of warranty. Watch what it is doing now. The power clicks on and off. It seems this is a common problem for this TV and other plasma or LCD TVs. It maybe the power supply board or the components inside, such as the capacitors or fuses, which may be easy fixes. Discuss here. Feel free to let me know what the real issue is. Repair video coming soon..

  • Do not have any problem.

The product made in Korea is normal in this.

  • anyone whos experiencing this problem is the power supply transformer overheating and thermal fuse cutting out till it cools down, before any further damage is being made to it i suggest fit a 60 or 80mm computer fan blowing on the power supply. it will prolong the life of your plasma/lcd

  • I have the same problem, who know how to fix this please let me know too, Thanks

  • Fixed one of these. Runs low grade caps like Capxon or no name Chinese jobs on a hot running power supply next to heat sinks, Has mosfets on smallish heatsink for the amount of generated heat. Add a fan or its good for about 8-10k hours and it will happen again. If you dial back the voltages off the PS so you get better MLL you might increase the lifespan as it runs cooler than stock, but I don't know if it will have long term benefits.
