This is my special NO-MISS superplay of a 1994 shmup for the Japanese NEC PC-9801 home computer called Raid Wind, and this is *also* my very first video ever on YouTube that is actually allowed to go over the normal 15-minute limit, making for one complete, uninterrupted extended superplay instead of me having to upload the whole thing in separate, individual parts. ^-^=b !!

This game was first presented originally on the PC-9801 system in Japan by a rather little-known and short-lived company by the name of "ONEONEMAN", long before Siter Skain was even successfully born from its ashes and soaring high with such later shmup titles as Alltynex (aka Project Raid Wind 2) on Fujitsu FM-TOWNS, Kamui, RefleX, and the more recent Alltynex Second... with each one growing more and more phenomenal than the last!!! :D !!

Also, Raid Wind is one TOUGH mother of a shmup most indeed, since it can be rather difficult to recover successfully after your ship bites the dust (especially in the later stages where it can be quite, QUITE brutal at times!!)... but I, Adigun Azikiwe Polack, am even tougher than ever in blowing through this whole game -- *without* losing a single ship -- as you will see in this 2011 superplay video from me!!! ;)

And so with all of that said, please enjoy this first-ever and special no-miss demonstration of Raid Wind for PC-9801, complements of Adigun Azikiwe Polack... especially in the way I have played it!!! Thank you ever so much once again for your wonderful time as I celebrate my full-fledged return to YouTube in 2011, my rather awesome ladies and gentlemen!!! (^-^)v !!

  • @Vystein Thank you so much, and what an excellent comment it is from you here, too!!!

Listen, since there had not been a superplay of Raid Wind on PC-9801 before now, I just thought I had to deliver the goods big-time indeed. And you know what, that was a REALLY tough game for me to clear in one sitting... but boy, I have nailed it and blew this one wide open, let me just tell you straight up front!!! :D

Makes me feel like I've *truly* accomplished something right there, eh? ^_~=b !!

  • I have been waiting for someone to do a run of this on YouTube for so long... Excellent job and another excellent shmup run!

  • Why thank you so much for the excellent comment on this video, TrueSoreThumb... and you are quite right regarding the frames that I have designed myself, as I especially added them for superplays like this. Makes things very attractive, don't you agree? ;)

I am really glad you have enjoyed the video, and thanks a lot once again!!! ^-^=b !

  • I really love your video frames. I'm sick of boring black space, and it adds a bit of flavor. :3

    Great playthrough, damn.
