that is the wrong sort of cage, first of all you need something hard and positive for your gerbils to chew on, it needs to be far deeper, (about 50cm). and the wheel, whoa! the wheel needs no slots in it at all because it is 97 percent likely that your gerbils tail will get caught in the wheel...and...and...snap off......cute gerbilsthough! XD

oh, poor gerbils, u need to put cardboard on their cage, they love to chew stuff, if they can´t chew they become miserable. Maybe u should read few books about gerbs.Oh and take the wheel off gerbs might broke their tails on that thing.Please read a book of gerbils so u know how to take good care of ur little pets. Empty toiletpaper rolls r their favourite thing to chew.

Although it's been awhile: They need some thing to chew on... try alfalfa chews, or dry wood from a pet store.
