One of Euripides most famous plays, The Bacchae tells of the arrival of the god Dionysus into Thebes and Greece. In this scene Dionysus 'introduces' himself to the audience, and presents his maenad followers 'The Bacchae' for all to see.

  • i always wanted to watch this ancient tragedy!i've read it 3 times!now they will show it in greece by the orpheus troupe!

  • that guy is the farthest thing from Dionysus ive ever seen. Although he has good diction, he looks like a cross between an uber nerd and a university prof.

  • nothing can change the power of the greek word in the ancient tragedy

  • I hate you!

  • Who is that sexy, gimpy, drunk Bacchant? My girlfriend in a silly dress? Yes.
