  • I suggest you read how Joseph Pilates developed his technique which was originally used for injured soldiers then later modified and utilized to rehab injured dancers. Many positions are universally known to increase flexibility and strength and both yoga and pilates utilize kinesiologically sound positions to do just that. It is know coincidence that you will see some of the same moves in yoga as you see in pilates and vice versa.

  • the music is really annoying

  • i recognise 4 or 5 yoga positions in there

  • Pilates generally use yoga as a warm up. They use the postures that stretch the muscles to warm them and stretch them to prevent injuries. "Strength Yoga" videos are often times Pilates. The entire idea of Pilates work outs is based on yoga mixed with strength training using the weight of your own body.

  • it is yoga:)

  • It is Yoga..!!! May be Pilates are inspired by Yoga which are hundreds of years old!!
