@Bultaco15 That is what the majority of the lyric sites have included in their information. I've listened to this for over 40 years and wasn't too sure what Hank said in that line, but I always thought what you have here was it and it makes sense as you said.

@ufomanal1 It is possible that the music producers DID make a mistake (someone not proof-reading the finished songbook). I'm in the printing business, and although it doesn't happen often, it can and DOES happen. "You seemed to know I would keep my word cause you said that I was right". This looks and more importantly, sounds correct, because the last word in that line rhymes with the last word in the next line. "Well I'm keepin' my promise to you pal cause I'm takin' you home tonight".
