I hate how they wrote this so that you loved Buffy with Spike and with Angel and you just kind of feel like you couldn't win. Like they basically erased Angel so I got off that bandwagon but then they made it a thing again just when I was really into Buffy and Spike and it was really confusing.

And then they didn't conclude it properly with either one of them. It was kind of like when someone calls a tie, I didn't like that.

So my final words on this is, yeah she loved them both as did both of them loved her. However I believe Angel and Buffy will always being in love with one another wherever they get their chance to trully be together. Spike may love Buffy forever although he probably thought that about Dru and yet here we are. I don't think Angel loved anyone until Buffy and yes he may have developed feelings for others, cordy being the main one but his heart and soul will always belong to Buffy

As was william who was a weak mummy's boy, not the sarcastic badass he became. And why to some feel the need to dismiss SMG comments because she did not write the plots! She played the character for 7 years so give her some credit on how she feels where Buffy's heart lies. The things I will always feel about the Buffy/Angel connection is she could senses his present even when she could not see him and then when she actually shared his dreams with him. That happened because she had to save him

I trully believe however much Buffy may haved 'loved' spike she did not love him as much as he loved her. Yes he went and got a soul for her and wanted to be good because of his love for her but so did Angel. It's just he already had his soul when he first got sight of her and she gave him a purpose in his life because if he had never met her would he have been destined to become this champion fighting for evil? As for Liam (Angel) being evil as a human he was not. He was a weak, lazy, silly man

Buffy and Angel or Buffy and spike....mmmm, Buffy loved them both, differently. Her's and Angel was pretty much love at first sight for both of them. Her's and spike was a love that grew from a situation that happened with Buffy coming back from the dead and feeling not quite herself and reaching out to spike cos she couldn't share this with her friends. I'm not a fan of Buffy & spike's relationship by any means but I can understand why others preferred it to the one with Angel but not for me.

@MrRetardedPenguin :exactly. I really was sort of put off by her dying at the end of season 5 and then brought back. And I never really like her going with Spike, he was so out of character. And I really missed Oz when he left, and then Rupert. I thought it sort of needed more ADULTS to guide it. and the other thing was bringing in a "sister", just never rang true to me. but then, I was never in charge of the show. LOL
