3 minutes of excerpts from In the Next Room (or the vibrator play), a world premiere comedy by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Les Waters. Playing through March 15 at Berkeley Repertory Theatre.

In the Next Room (or the vibrator play) illuminates the corseted passions of four lonely Victorians seek relief from an industrious doctor and his mysterious new machine. It's a touching comedy lit by the dawn of science and sexuality.

  • We do not agree. We feel while accurately depicting racism in the Victorian era, In the Next Room is unequivocally condemns it.
