This video is a demonstration how to use the "RPT" mode on Nikon's flagship speedlights of SB-800 and SB-900. "RPT" is also known as Repeat Flash - it allows you to fire the flash continuously during a single long exposure. Enjoy.

Can we use the sb800 off shoe with this mode (RPT) via the CLS? or with set of cactus v4? You show photos exemple in the end of the video but no setting.
Thx and happy new year.

Yes, only if you have another SB-800 or SB-900 as the master flash.
The reason why we do not provide the settings is because everyone is different.

You can achieve off-camera RPT, just by going manual in both devices (camera and speedlight) on a very long exposure modus, just trigger the shutter at the same time yo press the buttom at the SB-900

Yes, but it is not exactly stroboscopic that RPT offers.
Maybe for SB-600, yes. No need to do that with SB-700 / 800 / 900.

Thanks for the great video. I have a SB800 and the problem is sometimes I can't use TTLBL when I attached it on D60. Another thing is when I use M mode, sometimes SB800 cannot detect when I adjust the lens aperture. I have tried both rechargeable battery and also new normal AA battery. Is there any solution for this? Thank you. .

It sounds like you're using manual focus lens on your D60 that does not have CPU contacts to communicate with your D60. With a MF lens, it automatically switch your camera to Spot Metering (which loses the iTTL-BL ability) and no communication between the camera and lens (which loses the exposure data such as aperture and focal length). That's our best guess, try putting on a AF-S lens, set for 3D Matrix Metering, then scroll through the apertures to see if anything changes.
