Something I always wondered about Wolverine is why it didn't hurt when he activated his claws?

@TF2Fan101 In the 1st X-men movie Wolvie said it hurts everytime he pops his claws. In the comics, when he pops them he heals so fast that it doesnt hurt much. Both in the comics and the animated series when he didnt have his powers it caused him great pain poppin his claws, but he got used to it as time when on. In general, he's a tough guy whose used to it. Though he does growl sometimes when poppin them.
