I have to agree. I was so dissappointed with the x11. I sent it back and went for the Bose. They sound great, but I'm a bigger guy and with a big head it can cause some horrible headaches. Plus the tiny little film inside the ear cup doesn't protect your ear from the circuitry. I tried the ZULU at Sun'n'Fun this year and was blown away buy its comfort and sound.
I'm happy with the noise canceling abilities of the Lightspeed Zulu.
I find that this headset is sensitive to any electrical noise in the aircraft. When I use another brand of ANR headsets in the same plane, I hear no electrical noise.
Be advised that these headsets are manufactured in Communist China. So if you don't want any of your money going to an enemy of the United States, you might want to look elsewhere. On a 1-10 Scale Zulu is a 7.
the x11 as really shoddy ANR, has weird little chirrups and clicks. Actually works really as a passive headset, but thats not what you're paying top money for. I am a massive fan of David Clark and I was absolutely gutted when I got an x11. Tried a couple of headsets and they are the same. Sent it back and did not get a replacement. The lightspeed is currently the best headset on the market.
you give your money to an enemy of the United Staes everytime you pay your taxes. It just doesnt matter anymore, buy what you want.

That was the first thing I asked the sales rep. "Where are these produced?" That to me seems to be the only downside to the Zulu's.
