@saloontamoon My grandfather says that when he sat in the belly turret of the B-17 ( B-24 and B-17 had similar belly turrets) it never hurt him. But then again he was a staggering 4 feet when he was 19. He also brought a small book with him on every mission. I remember when I sat in the tail gunner's seat on a B-17. Beautiful scenery, but very hot and stuffy. But it was very fun to pretend I was a gunner! My friend manned a top turret last summer on a B-24. Very cool experience!

@MrJp990 I sat in the turrent on the belly most uncommfortable thing ever! I was in it for like 30 seconds before I demanded to be let out. I don't know how they did for hours in WWII

@saloontamoon I know. It was very fun to man one of the fake turrets. Until we hit some major turbulance, fell of my seat, and cracked my head off of the floor of the aircraft.
