And the accompanist is chopped liver. No acknowledgment from the soloist. I know that's standard operating procedure in classical music, but break the mold, people. Acknowledge your accompanist. Just do it.

Played this my senior year in high school...Was rated an Outstanding Performer at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest 1999-2000...played it on the Euphonium...great piece of music that brings back memories!!

Well played. I'm personally preparing this piece for a university audition right now and this is one of the best recordings I have found on youtube. I don't know why but I can't seem to find Joseph Alessi playing this piece anywhere.
