The part where he starts to weep must be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The all-fucking-all-fighting drunk Bukowski. Jesus Christ.

"See? I'm getting this way. Sentimental. Shit. Sorry."

nothing makes me so instantly overwhelmed with sadness and emotion than this poem/this clip from the documentary. every time it just destroys me. "make it as though I were dying in my sleep instead of in my life" may be the most affecting sentence I have ever read.

"make it as if I were dying in my sleep instead of in my life". Beautiful metaphore
"Feeling the good times that loves miracles". This video is by any sense of the word, a rare find. I believe he had just broken up with his fiance, Linda at the time of this reading. A very emotionally distraught Bukowski. Where did you find this one?

The clip is taken from the documentary "Born into this" about Bukowski's life.
