The Trems didn't cover the song. Christie took the backing track and put their vocals over it, when the Trems already had another song on the charts (according to Rick West, 2003).

The music track DOES sound almost exactly the same as Jeff Christie's version. To my surprise, never having heard this version before, I gotta admit, I like the lead singer here (drummer) voice a bit better than the Christie version! Did Christie REALLY just track his voice OVER the Tremeloes recording?
