The Case of the Restless Redhead

This, the First episode of "Perry Mason," was a real cliff-hanger. Perry drives to the scene of a shooting and finds the police recovering the body of Harry Merrill from a car that went over the side of a mountain. MerriIl has a bullet in his body and a pillowcase over his head. This is a coincidence, because Perry's client Evelyn Bagby, claims she was chased by a hooded man in a car near the same cliff that day. She fired two shots at the man's car to scare him off, and now the police want her for murder.

hahahaha, LMBO smh, bowes all proud he had an idea all his own. that wifes a piece of work tho, naggin,controlling & chopping-off the lil drummer boy, 1in/yr for 20yrs. i get y he thought the idea was a good 1 & wouldve been, had perry not been involved. 20yrs of naggin & choppin had 2 have left tool marks, thats 1 reason, im still amazed he hadnt killed her. may have thought of her tho, as he pulled that trigger. only hrs of naggin & i'd have been shootin & choppin. Aldrich switched guns with Perry Mason so that the slug could not match up with the gun that Perry Had until Lt. Drag took it from him.

Spoiler alert. Can anyone here explain why Aldrich switched guns during Perry Mason's visit to his home and gave Perry Mason a different gun? He denied under oath doing so on the witness stand. He was innocent of all crime prior to this switch. The only possible motive would be to if he assumed his fiancee had committed the murder and was trying to obstruct justice to protect her. In doing so, he committed serious felonies of evidence tampering and perjury which he apparently got away with.
