thumbs up if you watched this on your laptop and now feel guilty.

IT's a good movie. There's one thing that is a bit misleading about it though. Yes, it took 50.000 liters of water to produce the energy, but that water didn't magically disappear after that am I right? The water that has been used by the dam can just be used again after that? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that just sounds a bit odd.

One laptop destroys 3 square feet of rainforest! That's about 1.7 x 1.7', removed from the face of the earth! Stand in a spot, and THAT is how much rainforest you "destroy" (until it grows back)! Laughable.

I needed my computer to watch this video, and this video gives me no information about being a more informed consumer next time I shop.

But you forgot gold.

RECYCLE your laptops!!!

So what should we do to avoid this? Because a computer it's a need and well at least I'm taking care of it, this has lasted for 6 years now so far and still works really well.
They never say not to use computers or laptops. The message still stands: REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE.
Reduce consumption by using your current computers for longer. Reuse by donating your old computers to schools or non-profits. Finally, recycle no longer usable laptops & computer parts.
Some consumer electronics stores have take-back programs, or you could check your local government website's garbage & recycling section for info on recycling things like batteries, paint, electronics.
