@jbdtaylor Too "tasteful", not cool.

'57 Buick Specials, Century, and '57 Olds 88 and Super 88 are the best late fifties cars. The '56 Buick dash was simple and beautiful. I was taken to school in a '57 Olds 97 four-door hardtop and I fell in love with that dash.

What was wrong with tasteful whitewall tyres and tasteful wheels?

The car is really sweet but, and I've got to be honest, the wheels just don't work. I'd love to see a set of the older 60's style American Racing mags in 14" or 15". Many of us older guys, who love cars like this, are NOT of the opinion that 20-22" wheels are any good. The car is really really nice but, IMHO, the wheels aren't.
