Filiberto Ojeda-Rios was a fugitive from U.S. justice for more than a decade. However, in 2005, the FBI caught up to him, at the age of 73, shutdown his hometown in Puerto Rico denying townspeople water and other vital utilities while they surrounded his home and sent a barrage of automatic weapons fire at him. Autopsy reports show that Ojeda-Rios bled to death rather than to have died from gun shot wounds.
In this report, Ismael Nunez follows the ensuing civil unrest in NYC over the assassination of the Machetero leader, Filiberto Ojeda-Rios.
