Its a molting oriental cockroach as seen in this video -> youtube.com/watch?v=kK8HLsrQaR
8 The oriental roach at its mature age is 1 to 1.5 inches long, although I've not personally seen one that big. I see a lot of them around 1cm long.

The small brown ones are juveniles of the same species as the white (newly molted) one. They do not appear to be Blatta but a Periplaneta species. Those "horns" are indeed wings. They are flaccid just after molting from the last juvenile stage to the adult stage. The individual will pump them with hemolymph, blood, so they can reach their true size. You probably don't seem many like this because the adult karri ute themselves away from aggregations like this.

Half praying mantis and cockroach
Thanks man. Its just weird to see something this huge in Hawaii. If you read my commentary, i've been in the business a while and NEVER saw anything like that! HAHA!

Yeah, I found out it's a molting roach a few days after, but....the size was ridiculous! Believe me, i've seen many roaches in this industry, but none like this size...especially in the sewers.
