  • Barbi is great, of course, but this song is much better when sung from the third person perspective. Kinda self-serving when singing about yourself. Misses the whole point of the song. The Queen is not meant to be an honorific, it is more of sad statement on the state of her life. She makes it seem as though it's a good thing to be the Queen, but that changes the meaning of the song.

  • @ArizonaKnightWolf as well she was married to the „Playboy" :-)

  • Have returned to this after watching every other version and my verdict is SHE IS THE BEST. A fascinating performance. A lot of her character comes out in this energetic rendition and much as I like Emmylou, she seems wooden in comparison to this lady. Is she still around and is she still singing? ( woman's comment)

  • @JDibden Thanks.

No, she stopped singing. Sad to say.

  • Barbi was one of the greatest entertainers of the seventies. Never taken seriously because of her past, this was a wasted talent.

  • @itchycorns true words

  • I like the Dave & Sugar version of this song better.

  • Auch mein gott in Lieben have you heard a longer introduction? Even though it's not her best effort it sure is nice to see her performing.

  • never heard of her until now...lol

  • She sounds like Joni Mitchell

  • Eeeek!! I liked her before I heard this, lol. Maybe a different song would've complimented her range more? Either that or she should've stayed out of THE hills and IN Holmby Hills. If nothing else I bet Doyle Holly & Buck Owens sure gotta a kick out of it, lol Nice to see though (esp in contrast to today's crap), thanks for sharing!!!

  • yeah dave and sugar probly did the best version of this song

  • This sucks terribly!!!!!
